Carrie-Mae Blount Scholarships

In memory of our outstanding member and friend, Carrie-Mae Blount, PRP, the New Mexico State Association of Parliamentarians (NMSAP) has created a scholarship fund in her name.

As you may know, Carrie-Mae was a great leader and teacher of parliamentary procedure and a mentor to many. She served as president of the National Association of Parliamentarians (NAP) 1997-1999, president of NMSAP and in many other leadership positions.

Carrie-Mae had a passion for advancing the study and practice of parliamentary procedure. NMSAP has adopted a resolution to continue Carrie-Mae’s influence by awarding scholarship aid to qualified applicants pursuing certification as a registered parliamentarian or professional registered parliamentarian.
